Cut Tire for Eddie MacDonald Ends Solid Run at WMMP in the PASS SLM

Eddie MacDonald opened the PASS North Super Late Model Series at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, NH on Sunday with a disappointing end to the 150 lap event. With approximately 30 laps to go the Hancock Electric/Grimm Construction Chevy cut down a right front tire while running fourth.

After avoiding contact with the outside wall, Eddie Mac made it to the pit for a new tire then returned to the track two laps down where he would finish 19th in the 30 car field. Prior to the cut tire Eddie Mac was poised for a solid top five finish in the Dave Lemieux owned Chevy.

BIG CAR COUNT, EMPTY STANDS, AS RACING RETURNS TO CLAREMONT

By Gary Dutton

CLAREMONT, N.H. – Racing is alive and well again in the Twin State Valley. Claremont Motorsports Park hosted its first event of the summer Friday, June 5, with more than 90 teams on hand to strut their stuff at the storied third-mile speedplant.

The pandemic-rules event played to an empty house – it was, however, televised – but otherwise went off perfectly, with a full field of Granite State Pro Stock Series teams providing the night’s main attraction with their series’ season-opening Let’s Go Racing 100-lapper.

Nutmeg State bomber Ray Christian III took charge late to win the GSPSS main event, duplicating his Claremont victory of last autumn, with hometrack stars Dave Greenslit, Kodi Sabins, and Eric Lanou also earning inaugural night victory laps.

Corliss Fends Off Hodgdon for Season-Opening Win at WMMP

N. Woodstock, NH – Barre, VT’s Jason Corliss picked up the 2020 season right where he left off in 2019 by capturing the season-opening event for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models at White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) on Saturday, June 6. The defending Thunder Road (VT) track champion took the lead early from Craftsbury Common, VT’s Joel Hodgdon and held him off the rest of the way to capture his first WMMP win in the 75-lap feature as seen around the world on Northeast Sports Network.

Corliss earned the third starting spot in the main event under the American-Canadian Tour “plus-minus” system while Hodgdon started on the pole. Following a rain shower that delayed the start of the feature, Corliss quickly moved to Hodgdon’s bumper, attempting a crossover move on lap-5 that fell short.
